Spring Adventures with Cash 4 Cars Rochester: Recycling on the Road
Hi folks, Marty Chappell here again from Cash 4 Cars Rochester, continuing my story from Part 1 here. With spring finally pushing winter aside in Western New York, I’m back on the road hauling in vehicles for scrap and recycling—and helping folks put cash in their pockets while we do a little something good for the environment.
Every day’s a new adventure, and today’s route took me through several of our beautiful Rochester-area towns. Between the mud, the thawing snowbanks, and a few springtime rainstorms, it was a full day—but there’s nothing better than helping people clear out their old vehicles and giving them fair cash in return.
Stop #1: 1997 Ford F150 in Gorham
The day started in Gorham, NY, a quiet little town nestled among the fields and farmland south of Canandaigua Lake. I picked up a rugged 1997 Ford F150 that had clearly put in some hard work over the years. The owner was happy to see it go and even happier with the cash in hand.
Stop #2: 2011 Chevy Traverse in Farmington
Next up was Farmington, where I picked up a 2011 Chevy Traverse. The wet roads and early morning drizzle didn’t slow me down—just another sign that spring is officially here in the Finger Lakes region.
Green Truck Pickup in Hilton
From there, I headed north to Hilton for a heavy-duty green pickup truck. This beast had been sitting for months and wasn’t going anywhere without a tow. The property owner was relieved to have it gone—and loved the fact it would be recycled responsibly.
Double Stops in Avon: 2014 Kia Soul & 2014 Ford Focus
My route then took me south to Avon, where I made a two-for-one pickup: a 2014 Kia Soul and a 2014 Ford Focus. Both had mechanical issues, and the owner decided it was time to clear space in the driveway and make a little cash.
Stop #5: 2008 Ford Fusion in Rush
Onward to Rush, a scenic spot surrounded by woods and winding country roads. There, I picked up a 2008 Ford Fusion that had been out of commission since winter. The ground was soggy, but I got it loaded up and back on the road.
Back to Hilton for Briana’s 2014 Chevy Spark
I swung back through Hilton to meet Briana, who was ready to let go of her 2014 Chevy Spark. She’d already read my Google Reviews and was thrilled to experience the quick and friendly service in person. Her exact words? “Wow, that was easy!”
Final Stop: Derek’s 2001 Ford Festiva in Churchville
My last stop of the day was Churchville, where Derek had an old 2001 Ford Festiva waiting. He mentioned it had been parked since the snow started falling last year. We shook hands, he got paid, and I hit the road one last time.
Why It Matters
Each pickup means less waste sitting around and more raw material headed back into the supply chain. Recycling vehicles helps reduce the demand for new resources and reduces environmental impact. Especially with new government tariffs on the horizon, many folks are looking for innovative ways to save money and clean up their property.
If you’ve got a car, truck, or SUV that’s seen better days, give me a call. I’ll be there fast, rain or shine, with a handshake, a fair offer, and a tow truck ready to help.
That’s how we do it at Cash 4 Cars Rochester.
