Hey everyone, Marty here from Cash 4 Cars Rochester. Mid-spring is a magical time in upstate New York—tree buds are bursting, tulips are blooming, and I’m out there on the road helping folks clear out their old cars and put cash in their pockets.
Over the past four days, I’ve been zigzagging through the greater Rochester area, picking up vehicles for scrap and recycling. It’s not just about freeing up driveways—it’s about doing our part to recycle and reduce waste. With all the uncertainty about new government tariffs, people are looking to make smarter financial choices.
Here’s a look at my latest journey across WNY:
Day 1: Western Monroe County
I kicked things off in Holley, where Brian had a 2008 Saturn sitting all winter. The air was filled with the scent of spring—wet earth, blooming lilacs—and Brian was ready to let go of the past and grab some fast cash.
From there, I rolled into Riga to haul away a 2004 Dodge Dakota. Country roads, blooming trees, and big skies made for a great drive. The owner appreciated how quick and easy I made the process.
Then it was over to Brockport, where Randy was parting ways with his Scion. A short chat, a handshake, and we were both smiling.
Day 2: North and East Runs
I started day two in Hilton, picking up a 2012 Kia Sorrento from Jenny. Her exact words? “You’re faster than Amazon!” She couldn’t believe how simple it was.
Next was a longer trip out to Marion, where Michelle’s 2000 Mazda Protege was ready to move on. Between the winding farm roads and the blossoming orchards, it was a scenic ride.
My final stop was Webster, where I picked up a 2006 Ford that had been sitting in a driveway for months. Spring breeze, birds chirping, and another vehicle headed for recycling.
Day 3: Batavia and the Finger Lakes
Midweek took me west to Batavia, where I made two pickups: a 2004 PT Cruiser and a 2010 Chevy Impala. The tulips lining the streets were in full bloom, and the homeowners were happy to have those cars gone before lawn-mowing season.
Then I headed down to Penn Yan, deep in Finger Lakes wine country, to meet Marcia and her 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The views along Keuka Lake never get old, and Marcia loved that she could recycle her truck and help the planet at the same time.
Day 4: Rochester City & Suburbs
Back in the city, it was a full day of pickups. First, I met Jasmine who was ready to part with her 2000 Chevy Blazer. Then I swung over to Jaquan’s place to grab a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. After that, a quick stop for a 2015 Kia Optima—smooth transaction, happy seller.
I wrapped things up in Greece, where Kevin had a 2015 Nissan Rogue ready for the tow truck. He mentioned how tightening budgets and inflation had him rethinking what vehicles to keep, and I was glad to offer him a quick solution.
Why It Matters
Whether it’s a car that’s seen better days or one that just doesn’t fit the budget anymore, recycling old vehicles is a smart move. It puts money in your hand, clears up space, and keeps materials out of landfills.
And with the threat of rising costs due to potential government tariffs, folks are choosing to cut expenses and get value out of unused assets like old cars and trucks.
If that sounds like you—don’t wait. I’m just a phone call away. I’ll come to you, cash in hand, ready to haul your vehicle and help you take one step toward saving and sustainability.
That’s what we’re all about at Cash 4 Cars Rochester.
