Hey friends, Marty Chappell here from Cash 4 Cars Rochester with another round of summer pick-ups. The sun is high, the lawns are green, and I’ve been out on the road hauling everything from everyday sedans to an iconic piece of automotive history. Whether it’s clearing space, saving cash, or helping the environment, every pickup has a story.
Here’s how my latest multi-day scrap adventure unfolded:
Day 1: Bristol Brings the Past and Present
The day kicked off in Bristol, and what a start it was. First up was something truly special: a 1962 Polaris. This rare beauty had been tucked away in a barn for years, and while it wasn’t running anymore, it still had a sleek, unmistakable vintage profile.
Did You Know? The 1962 Polaris was part of a mid-century shift in American automotive design. It was known for its rugged lines, steel frame, and solid V8 engine. It wasn’t just a car; it was a symbol of the open road. Even as scrap, it was a gem.
From there, I picked up a more familiar face: a 2008 GMC Sierra that had lived a full life of hauling, plowing, and Rochester winters. The owner was ready to let it go, and I was glad to help.
Day 2: Canandaigua, Henrietta, and Lima
Next stop was Canandaigua, where I grabbed a 2009 Ford Focus. The view of the lake on a sunny summer morning made the trip extra worthwhile, and the seller was happy to get cash for a car that no longer ran.
Then it was off to Henrietta for a 2009 Subaru Forester. A classic Western New York vehicle, great in snow, but this one had hit the end of the road. Still, every part counts when it comes to recycling responsibly.
From there, I drove to Lima to haul away a 2010 Ford Escape. Nestled between farms and small-town charm, Lima never disappoints. The owner was thrilled to swap out an old ride for some quick summer cash.
Day 3: Gates, Brighton, and Greece
The heat didn’t let up, but neither did the pick-ups. In Gates, I towed away a 2011 Dodge Avenger with engine trouble that made it too expensive to keep. Then it was over to Brighton, where a 2011 Chevy Cruze had transmission issues and needed to go.
Finally, in Greece, I picked up a 2012 Kia Sorrento. The owner had seen our reviews and loved how easy the process was. A few quick photos, a handshake, and the deal was done.
Day 4: A Double Pickup in Rochester
The final day took me back into Rochester, where I had a unique moment: two cars loaded on the same flatbed. A 2015 Nissan Altima and a 2010 Buick Enclave, both owned by neighbors clearing out their driveways.
The sight of both cars strapped down side-by-side made for a great shot and a reminder of how efficient and rewarding this work can be.
Why Recycling Junk Cars Matter
Each vehicle, whether it’s a 60s classic or a modern commuter, has materials that can be recycled and repurposed. I help keep cars out of landfills and put cash into people’s hands when they need it most.
In today’s economy, with rising costs, inflation, and new government tariffs, scrapping an unused vehicle is one of the smartest ways to save money and make room for what’s next.
If you’ve got a vehicle collecting dust or taking up space, give me a call. I’ll be there fast with a fair cash offer and a tow truck ready to roll.
That’s the Cash 4 Cars Rochester promise.
Until next time, stay cool and see you on the road!
